Almond Milk Latte

May 17, 2018

Here's a quick and easy breakfast staple!

Almond Milk Latte

Ingredients:
1 cup soaked raw almonds (peeled or unpeeled is fine)
1.5-2 cups water
2 tbsp. Coco sugar
2 tbsp. Flax Oil
2 tbsp. CocoMCT @my_laurin
2 packs Kaffea Coffee @kaffeacoffee
Ice

Soak raw almonds in water overnight
Next day, drain and blend all ingredients together

FAQ:
Do you peel your almonds?

No. I enjoy making things that are fast and easy. I personally do not mind the bits of almond skin in my drink so I do not bother peeling my almonds nor straining the milk.

Do you strain the almond milk after blending?
No I do not. I keep the pulp for bulk and nutritional. With that being said, I use a Vitamix blender that blends the almond milk really well. This may be the reason why the bits of almond pulp and skin do not bother me.

Why add Flax Oil?

I'm the type of person that needs a filling breakfast so I got the idea of adding healthy oils to my morning smoothies from Dr. Budwigs anti-cancer protocol.

Flax Oil has a ton of benefits and is very high in Omega-3's. "Omega-3 fatty acids are essential to health and have been associated with benefits like reduced inflammation, improved heart health and protection for the brain against aging" (https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/flaxseed-oil-benefits#section6)

What is Laurin CocoMCT?

Laurin is the brand of CocoMCT that I use. Laurin is pure CocoMCT: Medium Chain Triglycerides plus Lauric Oil, all drawn from and representing the very best of coconut oil.

Can I make the milk without the latte?

Of course you can! Be flexible and enjoy the process of creating food that's nutritious, delicious.
